Alpine Excellence admits RedTeam Partners: Tech seal for offensive cybersecurity from Zurich

Zurich, 1 September 2026. RedTeam Partners has been a member of the Alpine Excellence business association since June 2026 and carries the Tech seal. The admission coincided with the launch of the company’s Swiss site. It is being announced publicly here for the first time.

RedTeam Partners operates globally and has its Swiss site in Zurich. The company runs penetration tests, red teaming exercises, security audits, social engineering tests and cloud security assessments. Its security specialists are CREST certified, an international standard for the delivery of offensive security testing.

Why offensive security, and why now

Most security programmes check whether requirements have been met. Offensive security checks something else: whether the defence holds against a real attack. Instead of a list of possible weaknesses, a company receives the path an attacker actually took.

For Swiss companies that question has had a legal dimension since 1 April 2025. Since then, operators of critical infrastructure must report a cyberattack to the Federal Office for Cybersecurity within 24 hours of discovering it. Institutions supervised by FINMA report severe incidents to their account manager within 24 hours and file the full report within 72 hours through the survey and application platform. Anyone who has to meet a deadline measured in hours needs to know beforehand what an incident looks like inside their own organisation.

“Attack a bank in London and you find the same patterns in Zurich. The same core systems, the same suppliers, the same mistakes under pressure. We have run more than a thousand engagements, from London to Singapore to Manila. Zurich was never a new market for us, it was a familiar one. We are building it through partners who want to deliver at that level under their own name.”

Zia Bharwani, CEO, RedTeam Partners

What the seal means, and what it does not

Alpine Excellence is a business association. Admission follows documented criteria. There are no membership fees, no paid placements and no paid advertising. No company can influence its admission or its presentation by paying for it.

The seal is valid for one calendar year. Members are reassessed annually and can lose the seal. It is a snapshot against tested criteria, not a guarantee and not a recommendation for any individual engagement.
